Civilization VI is back with new improvements, mechanics, worlds, areas, builds and so much more that make playing this game on the best computers a must. Released in 2016 on Windows, Civilization is a turn-based strategy game where players must develop their own civilization to become a dominant world power in the game. The game follows on from previous Civilization games and makes many more improvements on the core gameplay. The game has also had two expansions released: Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm.
Players start each Civilization game with very few resources and as an early settlement. Players then must use the resources around their area to build more buildings, train their military for battles and then attempt to expand. Civilization uses a grid system that allows player to make strategic moves against computer-controlled AI opponents; players can choose to run their own civilization however they like- by being offensive and taking control of enemies, focusing on development of technology and resources. The game uses a "technology tree" that allows players to boost their civilization's power through the use of various abilities.
The game is developed by Firaxis Games and has mixed reviews on Steam. Whilst the general gameplay is often praised, criticism comes in for the AI's decision making and skill, often being described as "garbage". Despite that, the game has gone onto release a number of updates to improve the gameplay experience and has a high 88 metacritic review score.
In terms of playing Civilization on a computer, you need a decent graphics card such as a nVideo 770 or greater, a decent Intel i5 CPU series and at least 8GB of ram. It also needs a 64-bit operating system to play. The System Requirements for Civilization VI are:
