From the Russian studio, Battlestate Games, Escape From Tarkov is a unique first person shooter MMO and playing it on the best laptops is the way to go. Originally released in July of 2017, Escape From Tarkov takes an old classic genre and gives it an interesting new twist. While there is plenty of first person shooter action, the goal of the game is to escape from the map by one of several means. Other players and AI enemies will try to stop your escape, as well as standing between you and the side missions you'll need to accomplish before escaping.

There are two main game modes to play in, PMC and Scav. In PMC, the player uses their main character and attempts to escape. The player equips their character beforehand, but they can pick up more equipment as they move through the map. In Scav, the player joins the AI faction and is given a random equipment set.
Although first person shooters do not necessarily need to be very heavy on the storyline, Escape From Tarkov does keep it interesting. The setting is the fictional region of Norvinsk, in Northwestern Russia. The region is in a perpetual military conflict between two factions, United Security and BEAR. The player joins one of the factions and attempts to escape Tarkov. The plot behind the action is not terribly complicated, but it keeps the players engaged and immersed in the story. Put simply, the region of Norvinsk was intended to be a gateway between Russia and Europe, but corrupt corporations stirred up armed conflict by causing political scandals. Tarkov is cut off from the rest of the country, and those left inside are stuck in the middle of the conflict. United Security is hired to hinder investigations by one of the corrupt corporations, called Terra. At the same time, BEAR is hired by the Russian government to investigate Terra.
Battlestate Games is a fairly low-key developer. They do not have many high-profile games on their portfolio just yet, but they've already proven themselves with this fantastic addition to the first person shooter genre. Without a doubt we can expect many more instant classics from Battlestate Games.
Although Escape From Tarkov hasn't been around very long, and hasn't received as many accolades as other first person shooters like Call of Duty for instance; they were awarded the very first Survivethis Editor's Choice Award in 2017. Battlestate Games hasn't released much information about their revenues, but they have received fairly good reviews from players and critics.
Since the initial release of the game in 2017, Battlestate Games has released three updated versions of the game as well as the standard version.
