Diablo III came out in 2012 on PC and has since gone on to release an expansion pack called Reaper Of Souls. 7 years later, Diablo III is still receiving updates and patches from Blizzard, keeping the game fresh and adding new content that veteran players can continue to enjoy. Players can choose one of seven classes to play, with each having a unique set of skills and talents they learn from levelling up. Players can level up their characters by completing the main story quest and then destroying thousands of monsters in the game. Once players hit max level, Blizzard also released Paragon levels that go up to infinity, allowing players to keep progressing their characters with no max level ceiling.
Loot in Diablo III is one of the reasons it can keep players hooked. Items drop from monsters and bosses, with Legendary items being sort after. Each piece of loot has randomised stats, meaning that players can keep hunting for loot until the end of time to find better and better upgrades for their characters. Diablo III also used to have a real-money auction house that allowed players to buy and sell items for real money. This was removed in future patches however. Since then, Diablo III has introduced Seasons (ladders from Diablo II), Adventure Mode, many quality of life updates and has gone on to be released for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
